Interested in Working as a Research Assistant?

The CUB Lab on DePaul University's Lincoln Park Campus currently has openings for undergraduate research assistants for 2017-2018. Working in the lab as a research assistant provides great opportunities to learn about how research is conducted with infants and children.

Being a research assistant in a developmental psychology lab means being involved in numerous different types of tasks on a daily basis: one day you may be running an infant participant in a study and the next day you may be analyzing data collected from that participant. Lab responsibilities include data collection, coding, assisting with study design, creating experimental stimuli and learning about research in social cognition through attendance at lab meetings. Additionally, there is a great deal of interaction with families and children who are interested in learning about our studies. Given these responsibilities, we are looking for dedicated and motivated undergraduates who are excited to learn about how infant and children perceive their social world.

Expectations for Undergraduate Research Assistants are as follows:

   Devote a minimum of 4-6 hours per week to lab responsibilities

   Attend a weekly lab meeting

   Read assigned papers and contribute to lab discussions

   Commit to working in the lab for at least 2 quarters
